As I wrote last time, I was having trouble starting to study for FAR, but I was beginning to get focused. Add a trip to Atlanta for a concert…and I didn’t study for about a week. I really wish I had not procrastinated because now I will have to aim to take the CPA exam later than I originally anticipated. However, I have started studying very hard now; it is all I am planning to do for the next few weeks.
This past week I completed Study Unit 5. I will now begin my plan to study five study units a week so that I can knock this exam out! I found the first couple of study units to contain information that I was familiar with, but I had trouble as soon as I hit Study Unit 3, “Statement of Cash Flows.” I have always had trouble with this, even back in school. I had to spend a lot of time working through this study unit, but I finally understand it now.
In studying for FAR, I feel like I am spending more time than ever per study unit. The information is just more difficult than other exams. I hope I come across at least one or two easier study units in this book soon.
This week I am going on vacation, but I am planning to continue studying. I would like to complete Study Units 6 through 10 by next weekend.
