Hello, everyone. So week six has come and gone for the AUD section of the CPA Exam. Wow, six weeks of review for AUD went by very fast. I finally took the exam on Friday. I didn’t think the exam was too bad. There were a few questions that stuck out that I could not remember. This is so routine. I think it is impossible to remember everything. All the testlets were roughly the same in difficulty. Maybe the third testlet was slightly easier, but I don’t remember flagging too many questions. I met my budgeted time throughout each testlet. I left roughly an hour and forty-five minutes to complete my simulations. This was just enough time for seven task-based simulations. I had four minutes to spare to quickly review my answers before settling.

My point of attack on the exam, whether it be testlet questions or the task-based simulations, was to quickly answer the questions that I definitely knew. This allowed me more time to simmer on the questions I was unsure about. A few of the simulations involved some guesswork and deductive reasoning. It came down to regular auditor judgment. The rule of thumb is to never leave any of your simulations incomplete. I was able to answer all of my simulations and testlet multiple-choice questions in their entirety. Overall, I felt I did pretty well. I left the testing center just like any exam taker: disoriented and optimistically unsure. Now it is time to catch up with some BEC.
